What a great night! Thank you to all who came out for our first Zombie Night Shoot.
Normally, our Night Shoots are under the range lights, but we made everyone exercise their weaponlight or flashlight or headlamp skills in order to execute the zombie targets with extreme prejudice. We had 36 shooters, and the PS link for full scores is below. Thanks to all who helped with the numerous range props and decor, as well as everyone who helped with the FOOD for the match. You know we love to eat as much as Shoot at SGC. We'll be back with this next year! practiscore.com/results/new/2246b366-3f5c-4989-9b54-5a7ccecd18dc Congrats to: HOA Mike Ennis Match Runner Up Billy Sargent 3rd Place Ben Jorden Top Iron Sights Shane Marvel Top PCC Joe Santos Top Rimfire Dennis Lahiffe Top Senior Mike Konopik Top Super Senior George Carter Top Youth Cole Cervantes Top Lady Brenda Jorden We had another great day that had some drizzle during setup but cleared up in time for the 9am hammer down start time. We had a nice crowd with 10 guns in each rimfire and centerfire divisions. Congrats to Jody Baker for winning rimfire and to Doug Carlton for winning the centerfire bracket!
Well we finally made it to the tail end of summer! Happy September to everyone. The weather was refreshing and great finally for our field of 23 shooters and 33 guns for today's pistol match.
Ben Jorden has been doing stage setup Friday evenings to help make the Saturday mornings go a little bit easier on everyone. We've also got a swing on doing Lewis Class finally at our events. The best time to try a new shooting event is now! We'll walk you through the whole process! What a day we had! Congrats to our 30 shooters and thank you for coming out to our first
A big thank you to our Crew who set up the event Saturday Night & Sunday Morning! Special Thanks to Tony Rudy for the VTAC Barrier!!! We rushed the program a bit so thanks very much for bearing with us, we didn't want to be late to the Trap Crab Shoot & Picnic!
Ben took first with both calibers, with Phil hot on his heels! The year has 4 months left in it, we have 2 night shoots left this year, and are looking forward to autumn weather! What a hot and scorcher day! But what a great crowd we had!!! I think we had about 20 shooters, but over 40 guns were brought to bear on the bowling pins! Including two revolvers and 2 carbines!
Congrats to Ben Jorden the .22 winner Emily, the Lady & WheelGun Winner Mike K, the 9mm Winner and Derek W, the King of the .45!! Let me tell you folks, the brackets show, these were hard fought wins!!! Lots of close calls and near wins but here's how it went. Oh My Lordy, Ben was rimfire champ back in April too! Yikes, somebody stop him! Great shooting to all. Man it was a scorcher of a day out there today! Thanks to all who came out, glad we got out of the heat quickly in under 2 hours.
As you can see, the IDPA 5x5 Classifier was humbling, especially when someone like the MD dumpster fires his strings and 27 points down :(. Anyway, the classifier was instructional. We are not going to strictly follow IDPA classifications in creating club classifications, but it's a starting point. See you at the Jul 29th Bowling Pin! What an AMAZING DAY! What an awesome week! On Behalf of the Salisbury Gun Club, and of the Pistol Committee, I can only say that we are thrilled with the experience of pulling off our first large Pistol Match! Thank you to all who came to compete, thank you to all who came to work and make the event run smooth, and thank you to all of our sponsors, supporters, and friends around! The shooting sports community is truly an awesome group of people that we love to be with.
I'll save you my usual spreadsheet scoring posting, and let Practiscore speak for itself. practiscore.com/results/html/1d7437f2-f8d2-462f-a7fa-a4eb87e83e9d practiscore.com/clubs/salisbury_gun_club We had a stellar group of 52 shooters. A staff squad of 13 shooters shot their stages on Friday Afternoon, leaving 39 shooters to compete on Saturday. Out of the 52, 23 of the shooters were gun club members. We had guest shooters from Delaware, Bridgeville Rifle & Pistol Club, Pennsylvania, and even from the western shore of Maryland! Thanks to our farthest flung shooters for visiting us on Delmarva! John Butler The Match Director, Ben Jorden, put a TON of work into making this event happen, and we are indebted to his acumen in running such a fun and exciting event. Thanks to his efforts, we had enough door prizes for ALL SHOOTERS! What a treat. When we weren't shooting the 5 stages of fire, there were two side games, a Plate Rack Race, and an El Prez Drill. Two of our many sponsors, Patriot Firearms and Atlantic Tactical had self defense video simulators set up at the range for fun diversions. Not to mention Shore Home Construction was onsite sharing their services. The LWRC Rifle Raffle went off great, that was a fun draw. We were also fortunate enough to give away two Stoeger STR-9 pistols! The 50/50 was won by one of our club members, and lunch was Jimmy John's!! The day went quickly, we did stages 1 and 2 and the warmup in only 2.5 hours, right on time for lunch, and then the last two stages only took 90 minutes for the 39 shooters! This event went off great and I could go on and on, but will save some more acknowledgments for later. See you next year at June 15 2024! We lucked out with the weather today, only drizzle fell on us this morning. Thanks to another great crowd of 23 shooters! We had some fun stages today, in anticipation of our June SUMMER PISTOL CLASSIC. Sorry to our rimfire crowd, see you in July!
