March 15th Pistol GPA Match

We had a great day with 27 shooters.  We had 4 stages and a warm-up.  We're looking forward to warmer weather and continuing the shooting year.

One of our shooters asked for info on the par times.  The sport of (most) of our current pistol events is "galactic pistol alliance".  Think of it as a blend between IDPA & USPSA.  https://galacticpistolalliance.com/  

GPA Par Times
GPA has a calculation for determining how much time a "master class shooter" should take for a course of fire.  It's math adds up like this:  1 second draw, 1.5 second per reload required, 0.4s per shot, 2s for each position change, 0.3s for style shots (headshots, and/or one handed, and 2s for each "complexity factor".  See below.  Then they take the par time and divide it by your stage score.  Or total Match Score vs Total Match Par Time.

GPA Classifications:
Platinum is 99% or higher
Gold is 78%-98%
Silver is 54%-77%
Bronze is 25%-53%
PewPewter is up to 25%.
