Rifle and Pistol Ranges
The Range is for Paper Targets Only.
There are steel targets on the pistol range and at the 100 yard line. Please do not use magnum pistols on the steel nor shoot the pistol steel targets with anything but handguns. The rifle steel must also be shot with only approved cartridges and projectiles. Signage posted at the club.
Targets, staples, firearms, and ammo are not provided ;).
We have 50 and 100 yards for Rifle and 5yds-25 yards for Pistol.
Every Saturday of each month, from 9am until noon, the range is closed for our club shoots per the below schedule.

IT IS REQUIRED TO SIGN IN WHENEVER YOU USE THIS RANGE!!!
You are required to have and display a Rifle Range Badge when on the Range.
If you do not have a Badge you may use the Range if accompanied by a Badge Holding Member.
To get your Rifle Range Badge, you must complete a short Safety Course.
To arrange to take the Safety Course, please contact one of the Members Listed at the top of the page
On Saturdays, a Range Safety Officer is present to aide and oversee you in safe firearm handling, starting at noon, weather and activity pending.
The handgun range is adjacent to the rifle range and is separated by a berm that allows safe, simultaneous use of both ranges.
Shooters may shoot at distances up to 25 yards and up to two shooters at a time may shoot from the same distance.
Handguns and rifles up to .22 caliber may be used at the pistol range.
Members who have been voted in must be qualified to be able to use the handgun and rifle range independently.
The Handgun Range is managed by Jody Baker, he is an NRA Certified Instructor and our chief RSO.
Jody is the primary point of contact for questions, issues, and qualification.
He is also Certified to qualify Members for the Rifle Range.
Handgun Range Qualification consists of :
1. Demonstrating an understanding of range safety rules
2. Range check-in and check-out procedures
3. Basic handgun proficiency.
When a Member is Qualified they are issued a Range Badge that Must be Prominently Displayed when using the Range.

Monthly Shoots
1st Saturday: Youth .22 Shoots
Kids, and new shooters, can come and learn from certified instructors with complimentary ammo with club rimfire rifles which are easy to use! Anyone can come try it!
What to bring: just yourself and ear/eye protection! The club can provide the rest through a grant.
2nd Saturday: BR 50 Shoots
The BR50 is a rimfire only match at 50yards. There are classes for skill level and scope or open sight rifles.
3rd Saturday: Pistol Shoots
Practical Shooting style competition shooting at cardboard and steel targets. Scores based on time and accuracy. 3-4 stages of ~20-24 shots. No Magnum calibers. $5 fee. See Phil Cathell, Jody Baker, or Ben Jorden for more info.
What to bring: a handgun with at least THREE magazines (4 is better, especially if each one doesn't hold 10 rounds), at least 90 rounds of ammo, ear and eye protection, (holsters and magazine pouches optional but strongly suggested). Your handgun can be centerfire OR rimfire. We'll even take revolver shooters or PCC enthusiasts. All skill levels welcome, come on out to enjoy the shooting sports. Any of the following calibers are fine: .22LR, .380, 38 spl, 9mm, .40S&W, .45 ACP; (no magnums) (some special events are 9mm minimum only)

4th Saturday: Varmint Shoots
This is a bench rest shoot at 50 yards for rimfire and 100 yards for centerfire. Centerfire has a custom class, and a factory class, for type of gun used. $25 fee. Come on over and spectate a match to see what it's about.
What to bring: rifle, ammo (50 rounds), rifle rest / benchrest / bag to shoot on, ear + eye protection.
5th Saturday (occasionally, not guaranteed): Pistol Bowling Pin Shoots or other style Pistol Shoots with prizes.
Bowling Pin Shooting en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowling_pin_shooting. Bracket style, best an opponent in 2 of 3 matches and proceed to the next round. Sometimes we have a loser's bracket where you can fight your way back to the top.
