On Saturday December 2 the Salisbury Gun Club held its annual Toys for Tots shoot with Five Stand, Skeet and Trap disciplines participating.
Four boxes of toys were collected as well as $645 in cash donations. I want to thank all the shooters and club members that either donated a toy (s) or cash. The money that was collected will stay here on the lower shore. Looking at all the scores from the disciplines the competition was pretty fierce for the day considering the weather played a crucial factor as well. When the dust (or should I say drizzle & fog) cleared, the following shooters came out on top: Four shooters: Tom Morris, Steve Walston, Scott Batzer & Jim Richardson competed in all three disciplines (True Ironmen). We had a great crowd of 26 shooters, and a good time was had by all! Congrats to Match Champ Ben Jorden, Runner Up Billy Sargent, and 3rd Place Phil Cathell! Top Iron Sights was Mike Ennis, followed by Joe Schanno. Top Rimfire was Jodi DiSilvestri! Followed by Marty Rogers. Thanks to Ben, Mike, & Phil for making stages. We had a nice crowd of 18 shooters Sunday afternoon for a Beginner/Senior AR/Carbine Match. This was a no-movement shoot (under time), and was 6 strings of "skills and drills" like some of our first carbine shoots from 2022 were.
Congrats to our shooters and winner! HOA Mike Ennis 2nd Ben Jorden 3rd David Payne AR Champ Ben Jorden AR 2nd Shane Marvel (WITH IRON SIGHTS/CARRY HANDLE! RESPECT!) In the end, Ethan Ruark outlasted the group with a 43/50 followed very closely by Kevin McIntyre and Cole Cervantes with matching 42s/50. Ethan also garnered the top spot in the shoot off from the 27 yard line after fighting off a stubborn Roger Webster, III. We had a total of 47 competitors from the Tri-State area and from both sides of the "Ditch." We thank all the shooters for their attendance. In addition, the trap committee would like to thank all the volunteers and parents for their assistance and use of any personally owned equipment. Without the volunteers and the parents we would have a hard time in conducting a shoot of this size. The committee continually hears positive comments from the competitors about our organization & volunteers. Thanks again.

Thank you to all who came out for our first Zombie Night Shoot.
Normally, our Night Shoots are under the range lights, but we made everyone exercise their weaponlight or flashlight or headlamp skills in order to execute the zombie targets with extreme prejudice. We had 36 shooters, and the PS link for full scores is below. Thanks to all who helped with the numerous range props and decor, as well as everyone who helped with the FOOD for the match. You know we love to eat as much as Shoot at SGC. We'll be back with this next year! practiscore.com/results/new/2246b366-3f5c-4989-9b54-5a7ccecd18dc Congrats to: HOA Mike Ennis Match Runner Up Billy Sargent 3rd Place Ben Jorden Top Iron Sights Shane Marvel Top PCC Joe Santos Top Rimfire Dennis Lahiffe Top Senior Mike Konopik Top Super Senior George Carter Top Youth Cole Cervantes Top Lady Brenda Jorden A nice crisp, fall Monday evening was the setting for this weeks shoot which had 45 shooters, which broke last weeks record of 44, and included 11 youth. At the fire pit smores were prepared and eaten as fast as they could come off the stick. Mike and Becky Ruark had charge of the grill. Becky had also prepared a batch of brownies which I think were nearly consumed before the first shot was even fired.
High gun for the night was Cole Cerventes (Jr) with a 46/50 followed by John Lee & Steve Warren with 45/50. Shoot-off winner from the 27yd line was Gary Lewis, III (Jr) who "bested" A.T.
