What an Awesome Day!  43 shooters makes a great crowd, no matter what the game of the day.  These 3 stages tested our mettle, and gave us a chance to put all the fundamentals together to ring steel and punch paper.  We gave a few challenges including running back and forth, an up-range retreat, making sure that you knew how to count, and more than a few others.  Thank you for helping your fellow shooters with the stage resetting!

35.0 Classifications
35.1 A shooter’s classification applies to all GPA divisions.
35.2 Classification scores
A. Created by comparing shooter results to a preset “par” value.
1. Match “par” divided by shooter result, times 100, rounded off to whole number.
B. Initial classification score
1. May be established by shooting the baseline classifier.
a. The baseline classifier is attached as Figure 1.
2. May be established by shooting a single GPA match.
C. Rolling classification score
1. Each reported classification score is averaged with those on file.
2. Once 5 scores are recorded, only the most recent 5 are used.
35.3. Classification hierarchy
A. Platinum 100 or higher
B. Gold 80 - 99
C. Silver 65 – 79
D. Bronze 50 - 64
E. Pew-Pewter 0 – 49

Late June had a 5th Saturday so a bowling pin shoot was in order.  Mike K, Doug C, and Jodi D all won the 3 different caliber brackets.  Details in the July newsletter.

The July 31st AR Novice Night Shoot was a fun event.  We had 20 shooters, with several new shooters and a few who heard of the event just earlier that day.  Thanks for coming out!  We're getting hyped up for 2 Gun in 4 weeks!!!

On Behalf of the Salisbury Gun Club, and of the Pistol Committee, I can only say that we are thrilled with the experience of pulling off our second large Pistol Match!  Thank you to all who came to compete, thank you to all who came to work and make the event run smooth, and thank you to all of our sponsors, supporters, and friends around!  The shooting sports community is truly an awesome group of people that we love to be with.

We had a stellar group of 69 shooters.  2 staff squads of 21 shooters shot their stages on Friday Afternoon, leaving 48 shooters to compete on Saturday.  

Out of the 69, over 28 of the shooters were gun club members.  We had guest shooters from Delaware, Bridgeville Rifle & Pistol Club, Pennsylvania, and even from the western shore of Maryland!  Thanks to our farthest flung shooters for visiting us on Delmarva!

We had over $3,000 in door prizes to give away.  We are truly indebted to our members and friends who helped make this event a success.  We had 19 amazing staff volunteers work their butts off to make this a success.  Again, we hope you had as much fun as we did.  See you Next Year June 20-21, 2025!!!

We had another great day at SGC!  This was the last 2 stages of the GPA Postal Match, as well as a 3rd stage on the Plate Rack.  The weather is solidly warmed back up!  Thanks to all our shooters.  And cheers to our new-to-us shooters!  Thank you all!

Another great day at SGC!  Our first sunny Saturday for a pistol match this year and it brought out a record crowd of 32 shooters!  Thanks for coming out y'all!

What a great night!  24 shooters and a fund time was had by all!  Thanks to those who came out and shot our 4 stages tonight!  Congrats to Mike for Match win, but also to Kalib with 2nd and 2 stage wins!

We had a great day with 20 shooters!  No rain or snow during the shoot but the ground is soaked.

Well folks today was quite the day to usher in the 2024 club shoot year!  Subfreezing temperatures, a windchill-in-the-teens that mostly stayed away...  and a snowy crunch under every step.  We had a nice group of 16 shooters, with lots of friends and some other shooters who got snowed out of shoots farther north.
