A very windy evening made the green birds dance a little in the air which produced some very challenging targets for the 30 shooters that signed up.  

In the end, Ethan Ruark outlasted the group with a 43/50 followed very closely by Kevin McIntyre and Cole Cervantes with matching 42s/50.

Ethan also garnered the top spot in the shoot off  from the 27 yard line after fighting off a stubborn Roger Webster, III.

A beautiful, warm, fall October day was the backdrop for the last ATA shoot of the year at SGC.  We had a total of 47 competitors from the Tri-State area and from both sides of the "Ditch."  We thank all the shooters for their attendance.  In addition, the trap committee would like to thank all the volunteers and parents for their assistance and use of any personally owned equipment.  Without the volunteers and the parents we would have a hard time in conducting a shoot of this size.   The committee continually hears positive comments from the competitors about our organization & volunteers.   Thanks again.

What a great night!  Thank you to all who came out for our first Zombie Night Shoot.

Normally, our Night Shoots are under the range lights, but we made everyone exercise their weaponlight or flashlight or headlamp skills in order to execute the zombie targets with extreme prejudice.  We had 36 shooters, and the PS link for full scores is below.

Thanks to all who helped with the numerous range props and decor, as well as everyone who helped with the FOOD for the match. You know we love to eat as much as Shoot at SGC.

A nice crisp, fall Monday evening was the setting for this weeks shoot which had 45 shooters, which broke last weeks record of 44, and included 11 youth.  At the fire pit smores were prepared and eaten as fast as they could come off the stick.   Mike and Becky Ruark had charge of the grill.  Becky had also prepared a batch of brownies which I think were nearly consumed before the first shot was even fired.

High gun for the night was Cole Cerventes (Jr) with a 46/50 followed by John Lee & Steve Warren with 45/50.

Shoot-off winner from the 27yd line was Gary Lewis, III (Jr) who "bested" A.T. Davis for the win.

This is the last of the club shoots to qualify for the club trap team.   Anybody that needs to make up a shoot can do so next month at the November Fun Shoot.   Remember, best 4 out 5 scores are used to determine the team.   Any questions can be directed to Gary Jackson.

We had a very interesting day on Saturday with the advent of wind,  partly cloudy skies and the fall foliage as a background made for some really challenging targets for the 15 shooters.

In the end, Bobby Hudson took top spot with an 89/100 and Jim Richardson followed in a close second with an 87/100.   Good shooting fellas.

We had another great day that had some drizzle during setup but cleared up in time for the 9am hammer down start time.  Thanks for all our shooters who have been coming to our events!  Congrats to Ben with sweeping the match and thanks to the new shooters who came today too!
